Rumour: Oil & Vinegar will be a 2004 animated feature.

  This new Disney project was first heard of officially in August 1999.  The original title, Oil and Vinegar, was likely to change within the next couple of years.

  Disney supposedly cast the animators and chose who would draw what in late 1999.  Nothing more was known about this project, except that its speculated date of release is the Summer of 2004!
 

Truth: This is a 3-minute underground project co-produced by Disney

  The short movie Oil and Vinegar was directed by Mike Blum and co-produced by Walt Disney Animated Features. It is available on the website of Pipsqueak Films since October 6, 2000 (email me if that link is broken).

  On February 4, 2002, director Mike Blum explained in his own words to Animated Movies where this rumour came from: "The rumor is completely unfounded.  It started because I work at Disney and Oil & Vinegar was done largely as an underground project.  Someone not in the know obviously leaked some misinformation.  I've tried contacting various websites to inform them of their mistake but the rumor seems to have a life of its own."
